Yes that is supposed to be STRANGE -apostrophe- S. This was the single hardest thing to get across to people. STRANGE'S! As though Strange was a person and they  were his group. Strange's. A little odd but that's what Strange's was all about.

Strange's was a semi-improv sketch comedy group formed in 1992 by Greg Twait, Eric Schwartz, Josh Gilbert and Dan Neid.  A fifth member of the start-up group was booted for creative differences before the first show went up.  During the first show (
Whispering In Van Gogh's Ear)  the 4 were augmented on stage by Ken Ruffalo, Michelle Peart (click on the link for a picture of Greg and Michelle) and Laurie Michniewicz with a brief appearance by Dale Roe.  The show was a success and the future looked bright.  A week after the show, Greg shipped out for the Navy and Dan left the group.

Roe, Ruffalo and Peart were asked to join the group full time as were Corey Witte and Matt Cobb. The new group had a dry run as the only non-musical act during an all day outdoor music festival. The group followed that travesty up with another new revue called
They're Just Monkeys With Hairspray. This much more satirical show rounded out 1992 for the group.

Roe and Cobb left Strange's not long after the show but the rest carried on doing 3 small appearances and eventually the June 93 show
Bram Stoker's Buttafuocco.  In 1994 the group all worked on Corey Witte's independent film production FULL CIRCLE (as did Steve Lord of Gag Reflex.) When the project collapsed the group never got together again.

Roe formed Gag Reflex in 1993 and Josh Gilbert joined up immeadiately (he eventually left in 1996 to pursue a career in Hollywood). Eric followed suit in 1995 and Dan in 1998. Twait returned from the Navy and formed Killing Vaudeville. (He and Eric did reprise the Big Dumb Ass Brothers during a few performances of Insomnia Theater.) Corey Witte (he's on the left in the picture) went out to LA in 1996 and currently works for Davis Entertainment. Ken Ruffalo is married and has a family and directs local high school theater. Matt Cobb disappeared into the Chicago theater community and Michelle Peart is also MIA.
