Rejean had to do one more album to fulfill his contract with Southview Records. The problem was pinning Rejean down and getting him to record. The anti-psychotics he has been taking for his epilepsy and 30 years of an unhealthy appetite for drugs, alchohol and fried foods were finally beginning to show. I told the head of Southview that I would bring Rejean down to my Barbados home/studio and get the album out of him. The problem was that we were under pressure and if the album wasn't delivered in 3 months, Southview would sue Rejean for the $300,000 advance they'd given him. It was strange seeing Southview act this way since we always had a great relationship. The sessions were a disaster! Rejean would fall asleep, forget words, forget to go to the bathroom. It was awful. In the end we took the only usable tracks we could find and delivered the album to Southview. But it was too late. The 300 grand that they advanced their once power player folk rocker Rejean was the nail in the coffin. Southview went belly up. This album stands as a towering achievement. While it's true that he rambles and loses his place and can't finish a song to save his life...Rejean is a genuine good soul and that's what comes across on this album.
