My thoughts here are this - the title of the show over ping-pong. Now that is a fond memory. We laughed & laughed at all the different tiles we had for this show. Dale & Eric were really cooking. And it seems to me we spent a lot of time in Steve's Basement for this show. I think we all felt a bit trollish. Looking at the set list this was a pretty good show - if hadn't been for the feminist nazi girlfriend in the audience I'd say everyone who saw it really enjoyed it. I especially liked this show for some reason. I had sort of forgotten about it, but every time we talk about I get warm fuzzies. A lot of our friends came to the show. Lots of family was there. I hated Fishing for Compliments and desperately wished I could be in Swishbucklers... but we can't have all the good roles. I loved the Line & wish that would get into some best of shows. French was seen for the first time that show - and the famous seat sniffing scene was born. Another thing to note is that we were still doing Blow Me to close the show. I hated coming up with verses, but I loved the idea and the song. I have to admit I miss it. Joe's dad coined the phrase "Crazy Eyed Eric" at that show, and I got to see Eric's mom a little sauced for the first time. Corky is so cute when she's tipsy! She kept saying "That's my boy..." while he was preforming encore after encore. I really liked this show. Why didn't we go there again? Didn't they screw us on the bill or something? Too bad - it was a pretty nice set up. - Mo Gannon (Gag 1996 - 2000) ********************* Ah yes. The Ping Pong show. Mo's right. This show was a blast. While it did have some not so great moments (I agree about Fishing) it contained some really great material. I have always been a big fan of Cozy Coven. Mo and I wrote several things for this show but only this got in. One of my favorite things about this show is the stuff that didn't get in. Teal, A Musing, A Boy and His Mime, Truman Capote - Texas Ranger. Lots of really surreal stuff was written for this show. There was also a lot of collaboration. Dale and I wrote Perfect Man. Me, Steve, Dale and Kris sat and talked about Swishbucklers at a bar before Steve went and wrote it. Your Dad was based on a thing Ledford and I would do back and forth. It was a really happy creative time. Best of all, everybody contributed to this show. Some shows it felt lopsided. Steve and I always turning in tons of material, Dale throwing a few brilliant pieces in and a couple trickling in from the others. This was a really balanced show. I don't really remember the performance other than Steve and Kris being sick and slamming Zinc during rehearsals and OH YEAH! The stage!! Mo's dad built this 6 piece portable stage for us that we still use to this day. This is the first show we used it in. And yeah I love the chair sniffing bit in French. I remember the first time I did that I thought Dale was going to keel over dead he was laughing so hard. - Eric
