NEWS!! (Updated 3/14/2001)
Tickets for this year's festival go on sale April 26th. we are anticipating a huge crowd. While Rejean Aboot is booked to appear, retired Crapping Badger artist Barry Newton has agreed to step into Aboot's slot if he doesn't turn up. This would mark the first public performance by Newton in 12 years!!! While we always love to see Rejean, we are now hoping that he doesn't turn up :) . I'm sure that Barry maybe coaxed into playing even if the elusive Aboot shows. corporate sponsors Hudoo BM have decided to provide free food from their new division BM FOODS to all participants. They are also hoping to have a drug testing tent open.

In November the FUA Council started booking acts for the 2001 festival. This time the festival will be held at the The Gergler Organic Farm outside Penland Grove, Wisconsin on July 22, 23 and 24.
As many of you know last year's show was a rousing success. Whether it was the roving band of clowns in the crowd surprising children and adults or the wonderful catering by Munch On This or 3 days of outstanding folk music, we can't be certain. All we know is that despite the rain storm and that unfortunate speaker explosion, everybody had a great time. ( Families of the victims have requested that donations be made to the Safety In Amperage Coalition.)
Many of last year's acts have already been contacted about returning and have responded with enthusiasm. Currently slated to appear are Russia's Ivan Anylitch , the sultry tones of Boo Boo Maneen, the rip-roarin' Ramblin' Joe Testeba, and Canada's favorite sons Smokey Bidet and Rejean Aboot.
We will be booking acts until May. We will keep you up to date on anything new.
