I really enjoyed these shows. First of all, we did two of them in a row, which was rare. I remember after doing one of my songs, when the lights blacked out, some female yelled, "I LOVE YOU, DALE!" which was awesome. Before the show, I was in the hallway behind the stage and there was a student I was talking to about my guitar. This was a really nice, black box theater. Didn't somebody in the audience fall during this show and hurt their leg? I seem to remember being afraid we would be sued. Dale - November 2005 --------------------- These were fun shows. I remember that the rent on the theater was HUGE so we had to do 2 shows to break even. The young lady who yelled out to Dale was Trinette, who followed us around for a long time. She was a friend of Mo's who loved Dale. Really. I think that she would have had his children if he didn't already have a woman for that. Actually, from what I remember, this was a a situation where we either lied about having insurance or the theater waived it for us. We had just started running into problems with theaters demanding that outside groups provide their own. We had joked for ages that nothing could possibly happen during a show that would require insurance. Then, sure enough, the first lady into the theater, looking for a seat, fell and twisted her ankle. I remember cast members running around trying to get ice. If memory serves, she left at intermission because her ankle had swollen. Of course, my mind could have embellished the story over the years. One of the strongest memories of the show was the multi level stage we were working on. When we did "Ode to 290-88" I stood at the top of the pyramid, so to speak, slapping the beat out on my legs. Then two on the next level and three on the floor. It looked very cool. I also remember Dan (who was running lights) and my friends Sonja and Mitch (who later would run lights and step into a performance) running around on the cat walks high above. This was also the show I considered proposing to Millie at. I was just about to pay off the ring and I thought it would be great to do it with our friends and family around. Luckily I thought better of it and did it the week before. This was also the first time my future brother-in-law ever heard "Soft Porn" - which has become his favorite Gag Reflex song ever. I also remember Dale playing The Simpsons "Songs in the Key of Springfield" as pre-show music and performing "Summer Loving" at karaoke (with a blown voice) after the show. - Eric
