Well, we didn't know jack about video production, but we checked out the equipment and went for it anyway. This episode is noted for stretched with little editing (every once in awhile there'd be a cutaway shot); "Honest Injun" had no editing, it was just a static shot all the way thru. But then there were periods of furious edits, like in "Knight School" and "Evolutions." I think we started having more edits when Michelle came into the editing sessions with me. She would suggest cuts that I hadn't even thought of. Ultimately, tho, a lot of what we did was limited by our lack of knowledge and time. If only we'd have had Dan back then. "Honest Injun" (Steve's Indian Casino sketch) was probably my personal favorite on this tape. It went well. "Evolutions" was also funny. "Schlockman" probably looked the best. Sadly, this show marked the beginning of the end for Josh. He was already up in Milwaukee at college and was down for a weekend to tape, but he had to keep calling his parents to check in and, eventually, they made him head back up to school before we were through taping, even escorting him with their own vehicles to I-294 to make sure he got on the tollway and was not coming back to play with us. It was very weird. But we learned a lot and the second show looked better. -Dale
