Hearing that Onrius was to face the Goblins on the battlefield, Zjon took his own sword and chipped the stone.

"…There was a great thunder when the Stone cracked. The Stone favored the Elves and allowed itself to be broken in the name of good. The swiftest rider was sent with the splinter to Onrius Skiv so that he might be victorious. But the forces of darkness moved against the rider and the splinter fell to the hands of the Goblin Emperor, Havskel of the Deep.

Into the hilt of his sword he fashioned the splinter and struck down Onrius Skiv with a mighty blow. 'Hail The Skiv Killer' chanted the Goblins."

Zjon and his band then further moved the Melk Stone to protect it. The Goblins pursued them for forty years. When Zjon finally fell into Havskel's clutches, the Stone was long gone. With his final breaths, Zjon foretold the coming of the last Messiah.

"Into the darkest places of your soul, I spit. You will never find the Stone. I have sent my sons, like the Mhal, to the far edges of the world. You will never see the Stone until the day the last of my line becomes one with the Melk and leads the Elves back to Mhalasia. Until you are defeated and the worthy rejoin their Gnuph bodies, waiting Otherside.

In fury Havskel of the Deep struck down Zjon. Hail Zjon for he so loved the Elves that he gave his life to protect the door to Mhalasia. Hail the Messiah of The Sword."

The Elf Prophet B'yex wrote more about "The One To Come".
"The one to come will begin in shadow
will put his hands into the stone and feel
will release the Melk's wish and open
the gates of paradise.

The dark will drop to their knees and weep
as the Elves stride in Mhalasia
and meld again with their Gnuph vessels
Taking the Melk with them

The dark will beg Mhalasia to embrace them

Blood will spill
and the one to come will ride
to his place
to reclaim the light
where the Mhal fell"

Over the last few centuries many radical religious sects have interpreted this to mean that the Final Messiah will use the Melk Stone and its incredible power to kill the enemies of the Elves. The Tainted (as they are called by such sects.)

The oldest of these sects is The Elbum. The Elbum is a secret, hard-line religious order that searches for the Melk Stone. Part religious fanatics, part terrorists, The Elbum are unrecognizable in everyday life and search quietly in their lives for the true Stone.
